The works I present, show my own picture in the sphere of virtual beings. To create my artworks I cut out and take out different fragments of realistic scenes and puts them in my own phantasmagoria. The background of my pictures is an ornament. Sometimes, the elements of the ornament are the photoes of women’s legs. I join them in different relations and then I multiply them on the canvas . The clue of my artworks is the story of my own. The story enables me to know myself and the story enables to confront me with myself. Due to this confrontation my identity changes.

Andrzej Chmiel is a Polish artist based in Katowice. Following the completion of grounding studies in Bielsko-Biała Art School, he graduated MA from the Institute of Art of the Silesian University, Cieszyn. His highly awarded works have been shown at various exhibitions.
Apart from the specifically selected “Fury Series” ink drawings featured in this book; his work has a wide range of varied manifestations. From traditional academic works, the hand-generated pencil sketches and ink drawings, and paintings, to digital artworks. His work has been featured on the Adobe Behance website.
Much of his ink drawings work is focused on social criticism. The figures are allegorical archetypes, characters of conflict writ large, defined by their place in an unfolding drama. ‘Masks – Forms’ are works in which hypnotism and brain-washing are incisively examined and human bodies lose themselves within other bodies. He creates
an amorphous blending of engagements in flagrant intercourse of social conflict.
As expressed in the artist’s words: ‘chaotic composition are the perfect way to express the insanity of our times and dark corners of human psyche and human ego.
He believe that Art and technology WILL DEFINE the future of humanity.
